Privacy Policy

When you book a service we collect what the job needs: your name, email address, phone number, the service address where we'll meet your vehicle, your vehicle's details (year, make, model), and anything you write in the notes box — gate codes, where the car is parked, what you want us to look at. If you create an account, we also store your sign-in email.

Separately from booking, we collect basic usage figures through Google Analytics: which pages were visited, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and what kind of device it was on. That is about the website, not about you personally, and it is not connected to your booking.

We never see or store your card number. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor — card details go directly to them.

To do the work: confirming your booking, showing up at the right address, sending you booking confirmations and receipts by email, and contacting you about your appointment if something changes.

We don't sell your information, share it with advertisers, or send marketing you didn't ask for.

Like most small businesses, we run on a few established services, and your data passes through them to the extent needed to operate the site:

• Stripe — payment processing (they hold your card details; we don't)
• Clerk — account sign-in, if you create an account
• Supabase — our booking database
• Resend — sends booking confirmation emails
• Vercel — hosts this website
• Google Analytics — counts visits and shows us which pages people use

Each processes your data under their own privacy terms, on our instructions, for the purposes above.

Two kinds, and no advertising cookies of any sort:

• Functional — keeping you signed in to your account and remembering your progress while you book. The site cannot work without these.
• Analytics — Google Analytics sets a cookie so a returning visitor is not counted twice. We use it to see which pages get read and where people give up, nothing more.

We do not run advertising cookies, we have not connected analytics to any ad product, and we do not sell or share what it collects. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we switch analytics off for you automatically — you do not have to ask.

Booking records are kept while you are a customer and for seven years after, which is what our tax and accounting obligations need. Payment records live with Stripe for as long as their own rules require. Analytics figures are kept for 14 months and then deleted by Google automatically.

Ask us to delete your information and we will, apart from what we are legally required to hold on to — and we will tell you plainly what that is rather than refusing the whole request.

You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — just email info@diamondcleandetail.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time, and there's no charge. As a Colorado business we treat those requests as rights, not favours, whichever state you are in.

To opt out of analytics specifically: turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or use Google's opt-out add-on. Either one stops it here.

If how we handle data changes, this page changes with it, with the date below updated. Significant changes will be noted here rather than buried.
